The beginning.

“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.”
John Milton, Paradise Lost

Introduction.

Welcome to ‘ The Inner Lens’ – a small, unknown place on the internet where the raw essence of human emotion and thought are woven into a tapestry and deciphered.

Who am I?

My names Kurdi, a undergraduate neuroscience student, a writer, a daughter of immigrants, a sister , a friend, a girl who spends majority of her time thinking – but that’s what’s important here – I am a being that spends her existence thinking about existence itself – about the whys, the what ifs and the could haves – for that is what being human is.

What is The Inner Lens?

Sight is the process that allows us to perceive the world through light via a complex process involving our eyes and optic nerves – this system is what allows us to see our surroundings – but sight isn’t only about the mechanics of the eyes, it is also deeply connected to how we think, feel and interpret the world. Sight is not just seeing , it is understanding without words, a bridge between outer form and inner feeling, it’s memory in motion,
imagination sparked by shape and colour. It is the soul’s window,

And though it begins in the eyes,
true sight
often happens within the heart and mind.

Thoughts are the silent conversations we hold within
ourselves, the whispers of our subconscious, and the
echoes of our daily experience – we all have them, in which we all
experience them in different forms, emotions and paces.

This blog will aim to be a tapestry woven from the
threads of thoughts, whether they ones that have been pondering or ones that are fresh and in the moment, they will be out and written aloud, capturing moments of introspection,
contemplation, and revelation.

Within these pages, you will embark on a journey through
the landscape of the diverse terrain of human emotion
and intellect. Each segment is a window into each thought,
offering glimpses of the joy, sorrow, wonder, and complexity that define my existence, that define our existence. Here, thoughts are laid bare, unfiltered and raw, inviting you to connect with the universal experiences they may reflect, whether it being love,
religion, curiosity, loss and so on.

Aiming for you to process this not as fiction, but as an
insight to how thoughts can produce and reform into
something else, from a cause, to a conclusion, from self distraught to self-discovery and understanding.

As you immerse yourself in this collection, may you find a
kindred spirit in the words written bare -Let them inspire you to pause and listen to your own inner dialogue, to appreciate the richness of your thoughts, and to discover the poetry within your own mind. In the shared language of thought and verse, may
you find solace, inspiration, and a deeper connection to
the human experience.

Inner Lens is portal to access this true sight, by crossing that bridge from outer to inner feeling, to understand with words ands access what it is to be human, to feel and think – to exist. Whether this blog is viewed as my own personal journal to make sense of my own thoughts and processing’s or a place you, as a reader, can call home, a place to connect and relate to, I welcome you in and hope at least somewhere along the way, as I’m trying to piece together thoughts, something clicks and forms a meaning to you.

This is my journey – our journey, of deciphering thoughts.
